Espresso singer Sabrina Carpenter has dropped a brand new track titled Manchild and the internet is spiralling over it.
Explaining that she wrote it on a random Tuesday, she added, “But this song became to me something I can look back on that will score the mental montage to the very confusing and fun young adult years of life.”
Carpenter continued, “It sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll and it feels like a never ending road trip in the summer ! Hence why I wanted to give it to you now- so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long!”
Fans quickly took to social media to express their joy over the track as one user wrote, “oh sabrina the men clocker that you are and have always been you never miss,” while another added, “manchild short film means a return of both popstarbrina and actressbrina … oh it’s the best of both worlds.”
Others related the title and lyrics of the track to the current fight taking place between U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire, Elon Musk, “funny how the president and the richest man in the world are beefing on social media on sabrina’s MANCHILD release day, just proving her point.”
Some users made a reference to Carpenter’s public relationship and breakup with actor, Barry Keoghan, “fumbling sabrina carpenter and subsequently becoming the subject of a song she titled “manchild” is a generational L bro you gotta go into hiding at this point.”
