Sharon Stone took to Instagram to grieve the passing of her mother on Monday.
The actress’ mother, Dorothy, reportedly passed away earlier in March at the age of 91.
“My hilarious, complex mother died.”, Sharon began in her emotional post.
“A product of the last depression, let's NOT do this again. Let's protect and care.”, she wrote.
Previously, the actress had described her mother’s parenting style s “tough” and said that feminism was among “the rules of my household”.
Sharon recalled once asking he mother why she did not let her lean on to her, to which she replied “Because I taught you to stand on your two goddamn feet’.”
“She gave me the most loving, the most concerted thing a mother can give another woman.”, she said describing he mother.
According to Montana newspaper Daily Inter Lake, Dorothy passed away on March 26, 2025.
Sharon herself is a mother to three boys she adopted.
