Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson excite fans with unexpected reunion

Katie Holmes surprised her fans after an unexpected sighting with her former co-star and ex-boyfriend Joshua Jackson in New York City.

The 46-year-old actress was seen filming her upcoming trilogy Happy Hours, alongside the Fringe actor.

Notably, the Jack And Jill actress is the writer of the upcoming movie, as well as directing and starring in the character-driven drama comedy about two people who navigate their relationship around the challenges of family, career and love.

In 1998, Joshua and Katie met on the set of Dawson’s Creek, where they briefly dated.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, the Batman Begins actress confessed to falling in love.

“I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable,” she said.

Upon asking if it was Joshua, the then 19-year-old Katie buried her face in her hands. “I feel so fortunate because he's now one of my best friends,” she revealed.

Though their relationship lasted for a year, both of them remained close friends even after breaking up.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Katie revealed Joshua as the leading man in Happy Hours with the caption, “Working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship.”

As the duo stepped out for filming, netizens took to social media to gush about the past lovers’ chemistry.

Some commented, “They still have amazing chemistry after all these years.”

While others wrote, “Both of them have aged incredibly well.”

Happy Hours is produced by Maven Screen Media and Bond Street Station. The movie also marks a big milestone for Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson as they are set to be reunited onscreen in 22 years.
