Michael Ward denies all allegations ahead of court appearance

Michael Ward, best known for his role as Jamie in Top Boy, has been charged with multiple offences.

The actor has been accused of rape by a woman citing an incident that took place in January 2023.

Following the formal imposition of charges, the actor has been scheduled to appear in court on August 28.

The Top Boy actor, who is originally from Jamaica, resides in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. He has been charged by the Metropolitan Police.

According to Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Michael is facing five charges, all relating to a single woman.

In response to the charges, Michael has denied all allegations saying “I deny the charges against me entirely”, in a statement issued by his legal representatives.

It further read “I have fully cooperated with the police during the investigation and will continue to do so.”

“I believe in the legal process and have full faith that my name will be cleared.”

The actor will appear before Thames Magistrates’ Court on 28 August 2025.
