Jamie Lee Curtis’s latest comments on cosmetic procedures have sparked speculation that they may be directed at her Freakier Friday co-star.
The 66-year-old actress is currently promoting the upcoming sequel alongside Lindsay Lohan.
Notably, Lohan herself has been at the centre of controversy over alleged plastic surgery treatments.
In a candid interview with The Guardian, Curtis spoke openly about the pressure faced by women in Hollywood to undergo facial enhancements.
She described the trend as a “destruction of natural beauty” and criticised what she referred to as the “genocide of a generation of women.”
Furthermore, the Halloween star also pointed to artificial intelligence as a major driver of the obsession with altered appearances.
“Now the filter face is what people want,” she remarked.
“There are too many examples – I will not name them – but very recently we have had a big onslaught through media, many of those people,” Curtis added.
While she named no one, the timing of her remarks has led many to believe they were directed at the Mean Girl actress.
The screen icon also reflected on her own experience, admitting she underwent surgery early in her career following critical remarks about her appearance.
