Sydney Sweeney has once again found herself under the spotlight, drawing strong reactions following her latest move.
The 27-year-old actress was recently starred in American Eagle’s new fall denim campaign.
Notably, the ad quickly sparked backlash due to its double meaning tagline, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”
The campaign was initially at the center of online debate but it soon inspired a viral parody from Los Angeles-based comedian Michael Pavano.
Pavano, best known for his TV series Big Top, shared the spoof on Instagram and TikTok, where he has a combined following of 1.1 million.
Donning a purple denim outfit and a dark brown wig, the comedian perfectly mimicked A-list actresses’ look while humorously exaggerating its messaging.
He leaned into the double meaning of “jeans” and “genes,” using an over-the-top voiceover.
The clip racked up over 13,000 likes within just two hours of posting.
Fans flooded the comments section with praise for the skit, admiring his resemblance to Sweeney.
“American Eagle needs to be paying [Pavano] for this—he’s sending so much traffic their way,” one user remarked.
Another added, “How do you look exactly like her?”
For those unfamiliar, Pavano has previously impersonated several high-profile celebrities, including Megan Fox, Dakota Johnson, and Blake Lively.
