Meghan Markle's former BFF Jessica Mulroney splits from husband Ben

Jessica Mulroney, once Meghan Markle’s BFF and bridal inner circle star, has reportedly separated from her husband, Ben Mulroney, son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.

According to Page Six, Jessica, 45, shared the breakup news with friends while attending a Toronto wedding solo last month, and was notably without her wedding ring. 

Sources say the couple have been separated “for some time,” though no official statement has been made.

“Jessica seemed sad, but also relieved to have some clarity,” one source told the outlet.

Jessica and Ben were married for 16 years and have three children, all of whom played iconic roles in Meghan and Harry’s 2018 royal wedding. 

Their twin boys helped carry Meghan’s veil down the aisle, and daughter Ivy was handed Meghan’s bouquet at the altar. 

At the time, Jessica was so closely tied to the royal couple that many dubbed her Meghan’s unofficial maid of honor.

But the former friendship has since cooled dramatically.

In 2020, Jessica became the subject of public criticism after Canadian influencer Sasha Exeter accused her of “textbook white privilege” and threatening behaviour after Exeter posted in support of Black Lives Matter. 

Jessica apologized, but the situation escalated when private messages were shared, suggesting legal action. 

In the aftermath, Jessica’s show I Do, Redo was pulled from Canadian TV, and she stepped back from her regular Good Morning America segments.
