Machine Gun Kelly offered a glimpse into a personal moment he had shared with Megan Fox, reflecting on their journey as new parents.
The 35-year-old musician, whose real name is Colson Baker, spoke about the story behind their baby’s name during a recent appearance on TODAY’s 8 Before 8 series.
The couple welcomed their first child together, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, in March.
However, they waited nearly three months before confirming her name publicly.
Discussing the naming process, the rapper revealed he had previously lost the chance to name his first child.
For the unversed, Kelly also shares a daughter, Casie, with his ex-wife Emma Cannon.
“Well, I lost the first one and won the second one,” he said with a laugh.
MGK recalled suggesting the name “Kid” for Casie when he was 18.
He first revealed Saga’s name in June through an Instagram video, showing himself playing a ukulele for the newborn.
Notably, her face was kept hidden from the camera.
“Thank you for the ultimate gift,” he wrote, tagging Fox.
Later, the Rap Devil singer also spoke about the meaning behind the name.
“She is an epic story. That’s what saga means,” he said, describing it as both symbolic and meaningful.
Machine Gun Kelly's teenager revealed hat her father loves to give lots of advice, and hype her up, to which he responded with, "Yeah, I'm a cheerleader."
The Home rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, also commented on what life has been like, saying: "Megan is in the no sleep club, for sure. I've been traveling a little bit, just doing some performances. So on those nights, I for sure, just hit the snooze button a million times and I'm catching up on all this."
