MGK reveals reason for refusing role in ‘Sinners’
MGK discusses his audition for ‘Sinners’ and why he could not go through with it
MGK has expressed his desire to take on more acting roles in his career, with a surprising confession about turning down a part in the box office hit, Sinners.
The rapper, who has recently changed his name from Machine Gun Kelly to just his initials MGK, revealed that he auditioned for the role of Bert which eventually went to Peter Dreimanis.
During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the Rap Devil singer stated, “The vampire — they had me set up to do the audition— it’s the one that’s in the house, so he’s the second vampire, the one that the guy comes and eats the family.”
He continued, detailing, “In the audition, he has to say the ‘n-word’ and I wouldn’t do it.”
MGK then told the sports talk show host and the audience that he was keen on booking auditions and taking on roles while he is young and good looking.
McAfee then replied by saying that they were on an Oscars run here, to the aspiring actor.
Notably, the Ryan Coogler directed film, Sinners went on to achieve unprecedented, chat topping levels of success.
What happened between MGK and Megan Fox?
MGK and Megan Fox ended their engagement in March 2024 after she found upsetting material on his phone. Despite the split, they welcomed a daughter in March 2025 and are co-parenting.
