The bad idea right? singer brought out a fan-favourite rock band to set the stage ablaze at lollapalooza on Friday night.
During the concert, the 22-year-old, who headlined the musical festival with Korn was joined by Weezer for a performance of two of their cult-classics.
The duo sang the band’s songs Buddy Holly and Say It Ain’t So, by the Vampire crooner taking hold of the guitar and harmonising with Cuomo.
The band is currently on tour, meanwhile the three-time Grammy winner has been headlining multiple festivals and introducing guests that leave concertgoers in awe.
Soon after the latest show, fans of the musical entities took to their social media accounts to mark their approval over the collaboration by writing, “Rivers Cuomo and Olivia Rodrigo on the same stage… peak Lolla moment.”
“Gen Z meets 90s angst — this is history,” while another wrote “THIS IS SO ICONIC.”
Notably, Olivia previously performed alongside The Cure’s Robert Smith, and David Byrne.
