Travis Scott’s much anticipated album JACKBOYS 2 is finally here but fans seem not to like it as much as they appreciated JACKBOYS 1.
The latest album was released under Cactus Jack and Epic Records and featured major stars of the hiphop industry.
The star studded album feature artists include Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, SoFaygo, Wallie the Sensei, 21 Savage, Vybz Kartel, SahBabii, Waka Flocka Flame, GloRilla, Kodak Black, and Tyla, among others.
Despite the massive rollout and promotions, the album has sparked backlash for failing to meet the hype.
Taking to Instagram, the 34-year-old shared multiple posts of the album under which fans expressed their high disappointment with comments ranging from “MIDBOYS” to “All that rollout for this???”
Others compared it unfavourably to the first installment, with one fan bluntly stating, “The first one is a million times better.” While the other said: “Listen back to your previous works and compare.”
With the Houston rapper remained silent on the criticism, the question persists that will he address the backlash, or is this another case of hype overshadowing execution.
JACKBOYS 2 has 17 tracks including two previously released singles 2000 Excursion, and ILMB. The music video of 2000 Excursion was released earlier this week on YouTube which was appreciated for its high quality visuals.
