BTS Jungkook sent fans into a frenzy as he made a surprise return on Instagram.

During a July 15 live session with V (Kim Taehyung) and RM (Namjoon), the 27-year-old singer unveiled his new account handle, @mnijungkook, prompting all six members of BTS to follow him.

Within an hour, his followers surged past 2 million, reaching 6.9 million by the next day. Jungkook currently follows only seven people: his bandmates and the BTS official Instagram page.

The live, which switched to Weverse due to technical issues, became a viral moment. BTS ARMY showered love and support for Jungkook in the comment section.

One fan wrote, “Jungkook's new Instagram, tae and jk starting ig lives approx 613 times, 3 member live, we are so back.”

Another well-wisher of BTS penned, “The username is just so him. "mni" standing from 'my name is.’”

“He’s always doing things, and it’s so spontaneous,” another commented.

However, netizens speculate the account is temporary, given the Seven singer’s history of deleting his previous Instagram account back in 2023.

“How long till he deletes it on a random Tuesday once he reaches 50 million followers?” one fan joked.

Notably, the surprise comes weeks after all seven members appeared on Weverse to announce their spring 2026 world tour and new album, making it their first group livestream since September 2022.
