Nicole Scherzinger opens up on ‘Building the Band’ after Liam Payne’s death
The singer was co-judge with Liam Payne on the show
One Direction star Liam Payne’s last project is finally out for public to watch after his death.
The singer filmed for the show, Building the Bands, a month before he passed away tragically in Argentina on October 16, 2024.
Liam stars as judge on the show where bands are put together along with Kelly Rowland and Nicole Scherzinger. Meanwhile, the show is hosted by Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean.
Nicole, who is also responsible for creating One Direction on X-Factor UK in 2010, opened up about the new show’s release following the pop star’s death.
“We're just really proud of him, and I'm excited for everyone to see Liam shine”, the singer said on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
“We're so proud of him. He had such an amazing time. We had so much fun doing the show together, and he's such a beautiful, kind soul and heart,”, the 46-year-old said.
The American singer said it is “bittersweet” to watch the show now that Liam has passed away.
