Why Prince William, Kate Middleton may never forgive Prince Harry

Prince Harry and King Charles may be edging toward reconciliation, but one royal expert says there’s one relationship that may never heal, and that’s with Prince William and Princess Kate.

Writing in her Daily Mail column, royal commentator Amanda Platell insisted that while Charles may be willing to forgive his younger son, William and Kate will not.

“Friends say that despite all the pain Harry has caused him, King Charles is a ‘deeply loving and forgiving father’… The trouble is that, while Charles may forgive Harry, hell will freeze over before William does too. Or for that matter, Kate,” Platell wrote.

Platell pointed to how the Prince and Princess of Wales have weathered the fallout from Harry and Meghan’s royal exit and the criticism that followed, all while Kate has been undergoing cancer treatment and William has had to shoulder extra royal duties.

“If Harry and Meghan had been around they could have shouldered some of the load, but that prospect was denied William with their selfish departure. Unforgivable,” Platell argued.

She added that Harry’s absence during Kate and Charles’ simultaneous cancer battles has made reconciliation with William nearly impossible: “William will never forgive him.”

While recent secret peace talks between Charles’ and Harry’s teams have sparked speculation of a royal thaw, the notable absence of any involvement from William’s camp signals that the rift between the brothers remains as deep as ever.
