Mark Ruffalo graced us with his presence as the iconic Hulk in 2022, and after a nearly four-year hiatus, he’s reprising his role in a new Marvel Spider-Man installment.

The 57-year-old actor will be returning as the green monster in Marvel’s summer feature film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, alongside Tom Holland.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the news was confirmed after being speculated for months after the film was announced by the studio.

Netizens took to social media to express their excitement at the legendary addition to the cast. One fan commented, “This would be cool.”

Another follower wrote, “The duo we didn't know we needed until now.”

However, this isn’t the only confirmed role by a Marvel comic character in the fourth installment of Spider-Man. According to the outlet, Michael Mando will return as the villain, Scorpion.

The news comes after the film went into production in Glasgow after a last-minute location change from Liverpool.

Recently, the studio also released a first look at Tom Holland’s new costume as Spider-Man.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the feature has a star-studded cast that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Charlie Cox, and Jason Batalon.

Notably, Mark Ruffalo hasn’t commented on his reprisal, though it’s a known fact that Marvel regulations require cast members not to reveal anything unless given the green light.

For the unversed, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated for July 2026, though no dates have been announced yet.
