Rihanna has shared her grief over the death of her beloved father, Ronald Fenty, who passed away in May.
The Grammy winner, 37, reflected on the kind of granddad he might have been.
Rihanna shares two sons, RZA and Riot, with her longtime partner, A$AP Rocky.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the beauty mogul said she often imagined how her father would have bonded with her young ones.
“He prepared me for having two boys,” the Diamonds singer said.
“The adventurous side, the daredevil in me — that’s how I want to raise them. I want them outside, not glued to tablets,” she added.
Further she revealed how his adventurous spirit continues to shape the way she raises her children.
The Fenty Beauty founder credited her dad for the joy and freedom she experienced during her childhood.
It is important to note that their relationship had gone through a difficult period.
For those unfamiliar, Rihanna filed a lawsuit against him in 2019 over the use of their shared surname for his talent company.
Later they reconciled after the case was dropped in 2021.
Ronald also expressed his excitement when the actress was expecting her first child.
“She’s always wanted children,” he said in 2022. “She’s going to be an amazing mum.”
