Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial is set to begin today with the completion of initial jury selection.
The rapper is facing multiple charges of assault, violence, trafficking and racketeering as the opening statements will be heard today in the Federal District Court in Lower Manhattan.
The disgraced rapper, who has pleaded not guilty to all charges, is supported by his children and mother in this rough time.
Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, and his 17-year-old twin daughters, D'Lila Star and Jessie James Comb, held hands with other family members as they arrived at the courthouse.
The trial will not be televised unlike other high profile cases in the US.
Media has gathered outside the court with more than 100 people queueing to enter the court and attend the trial live.
Details of the trial have been kept away from public so the opening statements from the prosecution will reveal many new facts.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Cassie Ventura ended their decade-long on-and-off relationship in 2018.
