Pop sensation Lady Gaga just won a Sports Emmy for the Outstanding Music Direction for her performance of Hold My Hand during the Super Bowl 2025 broadcast.
Adding to the list of her many accolades, the award brings her closer to a major milestone that not very few entertainers throughout history have attained.
It is the EGOT!
EGOT status is achieved when an entertainer wins the four major awards; Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
With the Emmy win, Lady Gaga has 3 out of the 4 awards now and with a Tony win she will added to the prestigious list of people with EGOT status.
Gaga’s Emmy joins her 14 Grammys and an Oscar for the Best Orignal Song for Shallow from A Star is Born in 2018.
As of 2025, only 21 individuals have achieved this status with 6 people to have achieved the status with non-competitive or honorary awards.
