Musician Tom Fletcher was compelled to issue an apology following an “insensitive” post after the Air India plane crashed while taking off from Ahmedabad, India.
The tragedy resulted in more than 250 deaths and has garnered condolences worldwide.
Tom had to delete a social media post as it was deemed “insensitive” few hours after the tragedy.
“Sorry, I’ve only just seen the terrible news about the Air India crash”, Tom wrote, “So awful”.
The post was of Tom boarding a flight around the same time as the crash happened killing 241 passengers onboard.
The statement continued “Thanks for letting me know. My whole heart goes out to everyone involved in the crash and all their friends & families.”
Similarly, Mark Wright had to delete a post as well with his wife and baby daughter posing in front of a private jet.
Mark wrote “I apologise for a post I just put up on my page after today’s heartbreaking events.”
