Cameron Diaz is set for another wild ride in action-comedy Bad Day for Netflix after making her acting debut in Back in Action this year.

The 52-year-old, after a near-decade of hiatus, has again reunited with the streaming giant for an action-packed movie directed by Jake Szymanski.

Szymanski is also known for directing well-regarded comedy series, including Jury Duty and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.

Written by Laura Solon, the story of the upcoming film revolves around the unrelenting efforts of a single mom, starring Cameron, to keep one little promise to her daughter on her worst day.

The project has been dubbed as a comedic version of Joel Schumacher’s directed Falling Down, following the story of a man who reaches his breaking points while trying hard to get his daughter’s birthday party.

Beau Bauman will be back to the helm of producing this film with his Good One Productions.

The highly anticipated movie will mark a third collaboration between Solon and Bauman after working together on comedies Office Christmas Party and Let it Snow.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix will start the shooting this fall in New York and New Jersey.

However, the further cast details are under wraps.

What is the expected release date of Bad Day?

Netflix has not officially announced the release date. But the movie is likely to be available before the end of 2026.
